The Stores

More than 25 years ago, Joke Schuurman opened a store specialising in baby and children’s clothing in Ommen in the Province of Overijssel.

Over the next two decades, Joke learned a great deal about business in general and selling children's clothing in particular, and in 1999 her daughters Petra and Mariska Schuurman joined her thriving business.

In the years that followed, four new stores were opened, and in late 2007 Woods launched an online store through Woods.nl. With a team of twenty people divided across five stores, we provide a wide range of children’s clothing that includes something for everyone.

Warm and welcoming

We believe the company name Woods reflects the warm and welcoming environment we have created for our customers. Like real-life woods, our stores are full of delight and wonder. And although the stock is the same in virtually all our stores, we do take into account local differences.
